LOUISIANA LIVES

THE GREAT NOVENA

Although, it was by an inspiriation of the Holy Spirit that first came forth from the Diocese of Lafayette, it is most appropriate that this "novena" journey be expanded across Louisiana.  If that is done,  that would be extremely consistent with the purpose, goals and the intent of this website from its beginning, and in accordance with many of the webpages shown on the legend at the left.

It is most fitting that the first step took would be to please click on the image below to visit the Diocese of Lafayette's webpage dedicated to

                                The Great Novena

Please consider visiting and immersing yourself in the information on the webpages connected to The Great Novena and prayerfully consider how you can become part of a great movement of the Holy Spirit across Louisiana!

Also, please click on the coat of arms above to visit the Diocese of Lafayette diocesan website and see all about what the diocese is doing.

The four churches that have been identified as the diocesan "pillar-type" churches for The Great Novena are shown below.  (Click on the image to get parish information.)

Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, LA

St. Landry in Opelousas, LA

St. Martin de Tours in St. Martinville, LA

St. Mary Magdalene in Abbeville, LA

LOUISIANA'S HISTORY HAS PREPARED THIS LAND FOR THESE TIMES!

COME, HOLY SPIRIT!

Upon Louisiana and every diocese in this state!

Archdiocese and Dioceses of the land area we today call Louisiana.

As the author of this site has continued to travel across Louisiana speaking to Catholics, in many venues, and in other dioceses, on spiritual matters of timely importance, it has become extremely obvious that the "spirit" of The Great Novena is moving!  The webpages shown on the legend at the left attempt to show the many Louisiana "Random Acts of Faith" that evidence that.

Now, with the Diocese of Lafayette stepping up to formally lead this Great Novena movement, should others also embrace this novena, there is no limit as to what can happen across Louisiana.  There is an "annointing" available for just such a work!

This makes one consider what Jesus expressed when He joyfully saw the "72" returning from evangelizing others, after doing what they were told:

Luke 10:21 At that very moment he rejoiced [in] the holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.* Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.

 and in

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus said in reply,* “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.

ST. MARY PARISH

From a civil parish in the Lafayette Diocese, named after Our Lady, an African-American man was born in 1870 at Centerville, and later Baptized Catholic in Franklin, that was compelled by the Holy Spirit to begin a movement across America, that will be remembered for all time.  That movement was certainly originally meant to be a CATHOLIC movement but due to cultural factors at the time, it was not.  For all about that, please click here.

This webpage will be further constructed in order to further this great movement!
